Humane society of Baltimore County provides temporary refuge for stray, unwanted, and injured animals. A society not only receives and cares for suffering animals but also strives to place these animals in good homes. In extreme situations where relief is impracticable and where good homes cannot be found, society ends their suffering in a humane manner.

Baltimore County Animal Shelter:
The Baltimore County Animal Shelter aims to adopt more pets to responsible homes, to assure that all pets are properly tagged and spayed or neutered, and to encourage responsible pet ownership. The Animal Shelter is part of the Baltimore County Department of Health Animal Control Division. The shelter finds homes for more than 1100 pets each year.
